Allyson's first dance recital!

 Allyson had her first recital on June 15th! At first I didnt think I was going to sign her up fro the recital because she is so shy! sometimes I can barely even get her to go to class, but I figured it would be good for her and boy am I glad that I did! she absolutely LOVED being on stage...shocking!! I was going to be happy if she even went on stage and she went out there and basically performed her entire dance! such a proud parent moment:) and one of the cutest things I have ever seen! I think she was the youngest dancer in the whole thing. Her group danced to "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" from Cinderella.

mom turns 50!

 my dad planned a SURPRISE 50th birthday party for my mom on Saturday June 8th in SJ. It was great timing because it was also the weekend of the annual SRP/TEP company picnic! So we had a fun-filled day of boating at Lyman Lake in the morning, playing/eating at the park for the SRP picnic, and then partying all night (well, till like 9:30 haha) with my mom! it was a fun time...all of my siblings came. we played a game called "flashback to 1963" and then sort of "roasted" my mom telling stories about her:) my siblings and I bought her a very nice canvas painting in a custom frame of the LA temple where her and my dad were sealed:)

memorial weekend 2013

 We used to ALWAYS go beach camp at a lake for memorial weekend but once everyone started graduating from high school, we stopped doing that since graduation always fell on that weekend. well, this year we made it happen! we beach camped (remotely - boated out) at Mohave Lake! It was just as fun as I remember it and even more fun with my kiddos:)
