SJHS Girls Basketball

So WOW the girls semi-final game was awesome! They were tied with seven seconds left, the other team had the ball - our girls stole it, passed it to Danica and Danica shoots from a little past half court and makes it! It was sweet!! So now the girls are off to the championship game tomorrow (Thursday at 10:30am - who decided on this stupid time?!) Good luck girls! I got a couple pics of my sisters...

SJHS State Wrestling

This year the 1A-3A state wrestling tournament was in Prescott, so it was the perfect opportunity for Ben and I to see BOTH of our families! So we headed up to Prescott Friday night and it was so nice to see everyone. I had all kinds of family up there because both of my uncles coach and my cousin Austin was wrestling. Unfortunately we never got to see Austin wrestle, but we heard he did awesome! Good job buddy!

SJ had THREE state champions - Ryder, TJ, & Billy and two runner ups - Shad and Reece! And the team took state! Way to go boys!! They were saying the last time SJ took state in wrestling was 1990! Crazy! I give props to my uncle Brandon - he coaches middle school AND high school and they BOTH took state! He does such a great job and is such a good coach:)

This pic has a story behind it. My family kept calling this other referee "Joe Jr." So I told my dad and he goes, "You didn't stick up for me?!" And I said, "Nope, I took a picture!" LOL My dad said the other referees were calling them the Mr. Clean team. haha And its even better in this pic because they are standing exactly alike!

I will get to see my family again this weekend when the girls come down for state basketball...good luck girls!

2009 Middle School State Wrestling Championships

I went to Tucson this past weekend to watch Eli and my cousins wrestle at the middle school state wrestling championships. SJ kicked butt! As a team they won the entire tournament. Back to back state champions baby! Matt Waite took first. Eli, Tyler Crosby, & Sherrod Bride took second. Jerome Crowthler took fourth. Jared Anderson took fifth. Everyone else came really close too! (Levi Crosby, Brock Crosby, Garrett Davis, Riley Raykovich, Tim Allen, Chandon Herring, Wyatt, and Jared (don't know their last names:) Way to go boys! I only got pics of Eli and Tyler and I am attaching all the videos I took of Eli's final match for my family to watch. (It was a GREAT match by the way:)

Happy Birthday buddy!

I totally forgot to post on Eli's birthday! My little bro turned the big 1-3 on January 17th! My mom now has three teenagers in the house again! All her babies are growing up! :) Love you buddy and I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Viva Las Vegas!

Last weekend Ben & I went to Las Vegas with Tyler & Naomi. I am very proud of myself because I kept this trip a secret for about THREE MONTHS! Tyler planned the whole thing for his and Naomi's 1st anniversary and everything was a complete surprise for Naomi! It was SO much fun to surprise her! (Even though she does hate surprises:) We stayed at the MGM and had so much fun. We ate a lot of good food, did some shopping, watched Phantom of the Opera, and even did a little gambling! So a funny little story about the gambling...Ben and I gave ourselves a limit of like $10 that we could spend on the penny slots. So we start playing and not five minutes later I win $45! And on the PENNY slots! It was awesome. So yeah, I took that money and ran! It was just funny because I never gamble! We had so much fun hanging Tyler & Naomi! We hope to plan another couples trip soon! On another funny note - I had to go back to Las Vegas on Wednesday thru Friday for work and we stayed at the MGM. It was like deja vu! So I am definitely all "Vegas'd out", but I would totally go back for another show!
