The 4th of July celebration was a little difficult this year with the passing of the 19 Prescott Hot Shot Firefighters. Even though I didn't personally know any of them (however, Ben knew two of them), I was just so emotional the entire weekend. I am genuinely grateful for the men who put their lives on the line to help us (and I mean everyone - police, firefighters, military, etc). And I saw such an outpouring of love and respect. I saw the good come out of everyone. I am truly proud to say I am an American. To honor the fallen, Ben & I built a float for girls to ride in in the kiddie parade.
