Easter 2011

We spent Easter weekend up in Prescott this year. It was nice to be around family:)

we have moved!

there have been a lot of changes going on in the Barney household lately; one of them being that we purchased a new home! it was a long and hard decision but it was time to leave south phoenix. i will miss being close to downtown. i will not miss being woken up at 2am by the sound of police dogs and a helicopter search. i will REALLY miss our ward and my young women; i truly loved my church calling. i will not miss driving thru junk yards everyday. i will miss living two feet away from ten circle k's. i will not miss living in a small house.

we purchased a BEAUTIFUL 4 bedroom (plus a loft), 3 bathroom home in south Chandler. great area, great school district. we hope that we can stay here a LONG time:) lets not mention that the backyard is BOMB! pool+jacuzzi+firepit. i see good times ahead. we feel very blessed. and the crazy thing is that this house cost the SAME as our first home...craziness.

WEIGHT: 18lb 7oz (15th %)
HEIGHT: 29in (50th %)

Allyson is a skinny minny! Makes me so sad that she is already one. People keep asking me about baby #2 but I feel weird even thinking about another kid because I feel like Allyson is still a baby! I know that this is going to change quickly in the next few months, but for now, I will soak up all her babiness! haha. Here are some tidbits:

*LOVES to dance...to anything, include the beat of the shopping cart going over cracks in the road! (silly girl)

*loves to eat vanilla wafers, pretzels, & cheez-its

*still breastfeeds twice a day (once right before bed and once right when she wakes up) but I plan to have her completely weaned in the next couple weeks

*has 9 teeth (i think?)

*loves to play patty cake and read books!

*FINALLY will sleep thru the night...but will only sleep good if she's in her own crib

*likes to have screaming contests

*will smile REALLY easily at ANYONE

*prefers walking over crawling

*loves to play games with her daddy

Maricopa Tourney

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go watch Alissa and cousin Jacy play in the Maricopa softball tournament. (alissa pitches, jacy plays second, and my parents still coach also) They are fun girls to watch!

at times allyson would cheer for aunt wissa, but most of the time she was just busy getting into things.
