Good ol' trip to SJ!

Ben and I went up to SJ this weekend. It was so great to just get away from the valley...we hadn't been home to visit since Christmas! We got to watch my sister Ashley in the play (Oklahoma). All the kids did a great job. On Saturday morning bright and early (as always with my family!) we were able to go to the temple with my brother Joel for the first time. It was really neat and a bunch of my family came too! We are so blessed to have such great family! Kyle Patterson also went through that day at the same (not planned tho..weird?) Here are a few pics! Count Your Many Blessings...

So I found out some bad news today...to make a long story short...a few months ago I had a pap smear come back positive, so I went back to get some PAINFUL testing done...my doctor called me today and told me that whatever I have is pre-cancerous(for cervical cancer). And it just so happened that both times I received this bad news, it was RIGHT before my accounting exams! Now I have to go get another painful precedure done, but this time it will be worse and it will take me a month to recover(so my doctor says)...so I have been very bitter at the world about this whole situation recently...but I got to thinking and I have to actually be grateful...for the great technology we have these days that can catch this sort of thing before it actually becomes cancerous, that the condition I have will not affect my having kids in the future, and that I have a great family and husband that supports me. So today I am thankful for all my many blessings...this situation could have been so much worse and I am so grateful to my Saviour that it is not! I know that the Lord will not give me any trial that I cannot overcome.
