Weekend Getaway(AGAIN!)

So this entry will look a lot like my last one! My cousin Naomi Isaacson came up this past weekend to just hang out with us. My other cousin Mickey (Naomi's sister) decided to come over and stay with us too, even though she lives down here, just for fun! We had a fun time together...we went shopping, out to eat, watched movies, and of course each night we had to get some treats (Bahama Bucks and Cold Stone!)...soooo yummy! On Saturday the four of us went back up to the place we went two weeks ago by Payson. The hike didn't seem as bad this time, but somehow I'm sore? Ben was a good sport to hang out with three girls...he entertained us pretty well! Thanks Naomi for coming down! Here are a few pics from our little adventure...

4th of July Trip

On Tuesday night we headed up north by Payson to
go camping with our friends Josh & Meagan and their
little girl. Wednesday morning we hiked up to Fossil
Creek. It was so pretty! And a great little swimming
hole. It was SO nice to get out of the 117 degree heat!
We got home that evening, very tired and exhausted,
but I still wanted to watch some fireworks! We just
drove down the street to the Mesa fireworks, which
were pretty good. My dad is in charge of the whole
fireworks display at Lyman Lake and he said that
they were awesome this year. Too bad we couldn't be
up in SJ to see it! Overall, it was a fun little getaway.
We hope to be able to do it again soon! Happy 4th!!

Trip to Prescott

Prescott celebrates the 4th of July pretty big. They have the World's Oldest Rodeo, a parade, and fun stuff like that. And since they were celebrating the 4th of July the weekend before, Ben & I headed up there to get out of the heat! We went to the parade Saturday morning(three hours long!), went swimming in the afternoon, and to a country dance that night. It was a fun weekend. But I must write about my stupid car! On Friday Ben & I both planned to work all day and then head up to Prescott. But of course my car wouldn't start! So ben had to come home...a new starter, new battery, $200, and six hours later it finally started. And my poor husband probably sweat off ten pounds having to work in that heat! So he didn't finish till about three o'clock so then we just decided to say heck with it and left for Prescott! I am so glad I have a "mechanical savvy" husband who was able to fix it!
