Pumpkin Carving!

Well, last week I bought two pumkins for Ben and I to carve. Last night I sent Ben to the store to buy a pumpkin carving kit and what does he come home with? TWO more pumpkins! Apparently he wanted us to carve FOUR! So we did...carved two last night and two tonight. My sister Ashley said we needed to carve four anyways...one for each of us and one for Hunter and Lexie. LOL Here are our masterpieces!

Well, we gave in an bought another weimaraner puppy! We bought a female for the possibility of breeding the two dogs later on. We named her Lexie and she is 8 weeks and so dang cute!

FALL

So the other day I was talking to Ben and I said, “I love it when it cools down, but I also love it when it warms up!” He was like what?? So basically I just LOVE the season changes! That is what gets me the most about living in the valley…it’s not the heat in the summer, the traffic, or the people (okay maybe SOMETIMES it those) – but mostly it’s that there are no real seasons! In SJ you have a distinct Summer-Fall-Winter-Spring. Most people usually like one or the other but I like all of them. Warming up = boating season and cooling down = holiday season (Hunting season for my obsessed father and husband)! I need the change. :) So here are a few pictures that Ben’s mom took (she lives in Colorado) of the season changing! Gotta love it!

The kids' deer hunt

So this past weekend we went up to SJ so that Ben could help my dad take my siblings hunting (all 3 of them had tags!) The girls were not able to get anything but Eli on the other hand, passed up THREE little bucks to get this one! He is quite the hunter, wouldn't you agree? While everyone was up hunting I was able to just hang out with my mom all weekend and it was way fun; thanks for hanging out with me mom! We were also able to see the girls play Blue Ridge on Saturday...it was such a close game! We will get 'em at state! Overall it was great except for the DANG WIND!
