October Update

I haven't posted any pictures lately because it has been pretty mellow around here...we have just been chugging along in our busy lives. It seems like I cant even slow down long enough to catch my breath. Ben has been keeping super busy with work at GCU during the day and then his taxidermy work on nights and weekends. He is starting to get some good business, so we are hopeful that it will keep coming! :-) He has also been going on LOTS of hunts...helping anyone who wants the help! He rode up with my brother Joel a couple weekends ago to help guide him on his hunt since my dad was out taking some of my cousins deer hunting by Flagstaff. He has been taking classes toward his MBA...his past two classes were accounting and finance and I have had to help him more than I want! Now that his taxidermy business is picking up, he is going to take a break on the schooling. Less stress please!

I have started watching a little girl (who just turned one) during the day. The days vary but have her anywhere from 4-7 hours Monday thru Friday. It has been a hard adjustment for Allyson (learning to share and be nice) but she is slowly learning! I have picked up a few bookkeeping accounts. I am hoping that I can pick up a few more! I would WAY rather do accounting work over watching kiddos! I have had a couple interviews to be a preparer during tax season, but I haven't yet decided if I am going to do it yet. I know it will be temporary, but I know that I will get burnt out working evenings and weekends! We will see...

Allyson is so ridiculously smart these days. I get surprised by her vocabulary every day. There are some days when I am like "where in the heck did you learn that?!" Today she has been calling me "your highness." Haha. I will take it! She loves to call Kilee her "best friend." She still hardly eats but is getting a LTITLE better. Although, last night she wouldn't eat her meat (she usually loves meat) so we told her "eat your meat or else you are going to bed" and she told us "I wanna go to bed". Such an abnormal child! She has her potty training down but still gets her undies a little wet each time...I hope she grows out of that soon! I think she thinks its normal to change your undies every time! haha. Her grampa & gramma Barney took her to Scnepf Farms last weekend and she had a ball!! She rode a pony (by herself), rode some fun rides, ate cotton candy, and picked out her own pumpkin...in other words...she was in HEAVEN (spoiled rotten).

Kilee is growing like a weed! She is so much bigger than Allyson was and I love it! She eats baby food at least three times a day (a full jar each time) and will scarf those baby cereal treats and basically anything you give her! (such a lil fatty:) She is trying REALLY hard to crawl these days. She rolls all over the place and will kind of do a stink-bug scoot. I think she will be crawling VERY soon. She will drink from a sippy cup and also my water bottle! She sleeps good most nights...usually will only wake up one time to eat. She says "mama" and "dada" but get this - when she is mad or sad she will say "mama" and when she is happy she will say "dada" - what's up with that?! Ben loves it of course. She has two bottom teeth and I can't tell if any others are coming in yet. When we were at Richard and Alivia's house last weekend, auntie livi had a fun little photoshoot with my pretty girl....

Well, there is a little update on our family! I am so excited to take the girls trick-or-treating on Wednesday  And then my family is coming is coming down to stay with us this weekend because my little brother Eli has his first state playoff game down here against Phoenix Christian. Bring on the holiday craziness!

7 month photoshoot for miss kilee!

 I weighed Kilee on my home scale today and she weighed in at 19 pounds! my lil fatty:) Allyson weighed in at 26.5 pounds (and 37 inches tall!)...she better watch out cuz little sis is gonna catch her! Oh this little girl...I love her so much. It really was so appropriate that we called her "smiley kilee" on my baby shower announcement because this little girl smiles soooo easily! Just brightens my day:) She is definitely turning into a momma's girl. After FOUR WEEKS of trying to get her to swallow baby food, she is finally starting to KIND OF get it (it's still a challenge though!) I am wondering if this has anything to do with her being a thumb sucker?? She WANTS the food but has a hard time keeping it in her mouth. So far she likes sweet potatoes, peas, sweet potato-corn combo, bananas, and that baby yogurt stuff...which is a new thing because it wasn't around two years ago with Allyson! She doesn't like baby cereal, green beans, carrots, and apple sauce! I am going to try squash and peaches soon...she seems to be just as picky as her older sister though! She sits up on her own really well now...she has not attempted crawling yet. When she is on her tummy, she will reach for stuff and then just get ticked off and cry until someone sits her up or picks her up. She will drink from a sippy cup already! She is back to waking up only once at night (yay!) She has her two bottom teeth. She still drools more than any baby I have ever seen.

When we were in SJ last weekend, I had to change her outfit (due to it being completely soaked from her drool) and I realized I had brought quite a few outfits with me, so I decided to just do an impromptu photo session (with Ashley's help) at my mom's house since I hadn't really taken pictures of her since she was a newborn! So here is the picture overload...there were so many good ones to choose from! (and yes, I am obsessed with my child, as any normal parent would be:)
