Bitter-sweet goodbyes...

Well... where do I start? We had a very eventful/emotional weekend. We took off a half day of work so we could head up to Show Low early for family pics (the WHOLE Crosby family!) Then the whole family went to Pizza Hut afterwards...and can I say WOW...I think we inhaled like 20 pizzas! Lol..but you know us Crosbys, we like to eat! :) It was so fun to be with family tho. Saturday morning we went Lyman Lake...Joel's last time wakeboarding for two years! We went straight from the lake to Round Valley to watch Eli play baseball. Saturday afternoon we went to the SRP Family picnic. That was lots of fun and good food! Saturday night Ben & I went spotlighting with Joel and Whitley and some others...I think we saw maybe two rabbits? Oh and we saw some baby rabbits but I refused to let anyone hurt them! Sunday was a very emotional day for me. Joel gave an awesome talk and then my sisters, my mom, and I sang a song. The Trek kids bore their testimonies and it was great. You could really feel the spirit the entire sacrament meeeting. Joel was set apart as a missionary Sunday afternoon and all of our family came. I was very overwhelmed...It didn't hit me till I looked around our PACKED living room, what a loving and supportive family I was born into. I just love 'em all! Sunday evening we had cake and ice cream for Alissa(June 10th) and my mom's(June 11th) brithdays and they opened some presents. And then I had to say goodbye to my brother...I couldn't stop crying...I know it's good he is going, its just very hard for me. We are very close. And I will probably continue to be emotional this entire week! But I know he will be such an awesome missionary and I am SO proud of him! He reports to the MTC in Provo on Wednesday. My parents and other siblings are on their way up there as we speak. I love you Joel!
My daddy wakeboarding & kneeboarding!

Ben wakeboarding...if you look close enough I think you can see him sticking out his tongue! (He does that when he concentrates) :P

Benjamin loves my dad's boat, but not as much as me! :)

Step 1: Bring knees up

Step 2: Sit down on the kneeboard

Step 3: Lay down on kneeboard

Step 4: Do the splits? It's official: Joel is a dork!

This one was my fav. Whitley is listening so intently to my dad who is telling her how to drive the boat :)

Eli plays second base! I thought it was funny that St. Johns was black and Round Valley was red.

Eli is at bat! He is so cute!

Joel and Whit

The birthday cake...I decorated it...don't be jealous of my creativeness! And yes, those are softballs

Blowing out the cake!

This is the outfit I got her. I think it's so cute...orange is her favorite color!

Eli posed for me... he is my buddy!

Ben & Joel look like they are very intrigued by the present opening...lol

I got my mom these cute sweat shorts...as per her request

I told my dad he could open his Father's Day present early since he is going on a 50-miler with Eli.

My brother's farewell was on my bday, so it's kinda funny that your brother's was on some of your family's bdays. Saying goodbye was way harder than I thought it would be. I can totally feel for you. My friend Whitney reports to the mtc the same day as Joel. I told her to look out for him even though they probably won't run into each other.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend! Don't worry he'll be home soon. Jordan comes home Friday. It feels like he just left. Crazy how that happens. Seems so long while their gone, but then they are home before you know it.

Hey Jessica -
Yes of course I remember you! (I was the lame senior that thought the world revolved around her, so I hope you DON'T remember me! :))How is married life? My brother Trey said he used to work with your hubby and that he was a neat guy. Cute pictures of your family!

Guess what? I got a letter from Whitney, and she said that as she was standing in line there was this guy standing next to her, and she asked him where he was from. He told her a small town in AZ that she probably has never heard of. And she said well, where? He said St. Johns! It was your brother!!!!!
